This is a busy practice, and you are likely going to have to wait every time. However, there is a reason for that. If every physician is like Dr. Benjamin Kay and PA Charles Bean, it is no wonder. Both of these providers will sit with you and answer every question you possibly have, unbothered by the time it is taking, but clearly there to help you understand your situation, treatment plan, procedure, etc. Dr. Kay pulled up radiology studies and went over everything two and three times when we still didn't understand. I have had several appointments at Augusta Urology and have always been treated well. The staff that I have had contact with were all very professional, thorough and caring. Nothing but good things to say about Dr. Simpson and his team.Also.they have always stayed in contact with me and always return my calls.
I have been a paying patient of this practice for 30 years. The phone is NEVER answered. You leave a message and is NEVER returned. Do the physicians realize their practice is run by uncaring, unprofessional staff? The front office staff is crucial in office credibility. I am switching doctors- although Dr. Simpson is nice- he seems overwhelmed. Glad that Russian PA is gone. She was MEAN !!!
The office is terrible when it comes to call backs and answering the phones. Would not recommend to anyone who is trying to have their health dealt with any urgency or professionalism.
Not happy you can’t get an answer about blood thinners before surgery. No one returns your call. Charged $40 twice and neither time did we see the Doctor. Wait in waiting room over 15 minutes then another 15 plus minutes in Treatment room , that is unacceptable. staff all act like they hate their jobs. We don’t feel welcome, or that we are being given good nursing advice.
