Moved from Rockland to Augusta. Maine State Housing Authority accepted my Reasonable Accommodation to occupy a two-bedroom due to being disabled but Augusta Housing Authority will not. They never answer the phone or reply to messages. I am on the waiting list to move to another complex where I don't have to deal with AHA anymore.
They don't know what they're doing over there at all. Constantly losing paperwork. They give no wiggle room at all for people without reliable transportation to get forms in and they don't accept anything emailed. They're only open to the public for very limited hours and who knows if they'll get whatever is dropped in the drop box. They do everything they can to make it harder for clients to keep their vouchers, people, like me, with disabilities who need extra help with these things. Augusta housing changed my life by providing me with affordable housing and are very understanding about my situation, And for that I am thankful!
No answer to my question about moving to Maine from New Hampshire and how to go about it. Got no response. Also went there to speak with them and needed an appointment cuz they were closed. Never got no answers
