When my tongue was swelling due to an allergic reaction, I was asked to wait in the waiting room for 30 mins despite my spouse telling them it was an emergency. The doctor discouraged the use of their last epi pen, while my spouse asked if we should go to the ER at UVA the doctor responded with “you could”, with a very uncaring response.
