If I could give them no stars I would. Back in January I was referred to Joseph Freeze for vomiting blood and chest pain. After an endoscopy they told me it was probably anxiety. I kept up with my appointments and countless medications they kept prescribing me. The pain continued to get worse, as did the distended abdomen, shoulder pain, and throwing up non digested food, to the point I was taken to August Health via ambulance. I like the Dr. For the most part. But the front desk NEVER answers the phone. I have been in the office and they are not that busy! They also never returned my phone call after having left a message. I had to call the patient advocacy person and also spoke to the manager in the office. When the patient advocate called them, they said my number didn't work and they sent me a letter for my appointment. Never got the letter. I had a follow up apt with Joe Freeze yesterday after having my esophageal varcies banded. I had complications after the procedure and ended up in the ER where I was admitted. Joe was very sympathetic and very knowledgeable about the circumstances that sent me to the hospital and we discussed everything at length including all of my meds. I would highly recommend Joe.
Dr. Tennyson and her team are wonderful. Great experience!
Will cancel prior authorization for necessary medicine without notice and refuse to fill a temporary one until a visit all while scheduling out nearly 4 and a half months (Jan to May)
