Dr. Baker is the most thorough and knowledgeable cancer surgeon I have ever dealt with. She had great follow up and her team performed better than I expected. Thanks to Dr Baker for removing my cancer and following up on my progress.
Without looking at catscan or petscan results, and after spending only a few minutes with us, Dr. Baker said, "I think you have cancer" to my mother. This sent my entire family on a horrible emotional roller-coaster for over a month, and cost us nearly 2 grand. After seeing a second doctor who actually examined my mother, and then performed a biopsy procedure, we learned that not only does my mother not have cancer, but that she is perfectly healthy. Dr. Baker is very kind, however, she is too quick when bed-side and very dismissive of post-procedure problems. She operated on me to remove a melanoma site. Not only was the surgery time much longer than expected, she could not identify/find a sentinel lymph node but the incision site is 2 inches longer than she originally stated. Post procedure, she does not prescribe ANY pain medication. This fact was not disclosed to me prior to surgery nor were the nurses attending me post procedure aware.
