We went mid week and had the river mostly to ourselves. We got there at opening so were first in line for the sole duck boat. There are plenty of life jackets including for kids and baby (although we brought our own for the baby just in case). Staff were efficient and helped us on and off. The water is very serene but if you can't swim wear the jackets. Public toilets are in the same car park which was convenient. Bring hat and sunscreen for the boat as there is not much of a roof. Kind and helpful staff, good selection of boats, affordable prices, easy and fast to arrange rental and get onto the water without an advance booking. Absolutely beautiful way to be in the National Park, paddling down the Hacking River. Overall an amazing experience, worth doing however long the drive there - highly recommended.
This was one of the worst customer service experiences we’ve ever had. We arrived as a group at 11:00 am to try and avoid the worst heat. They kept me waiting 20 minutes to serve me, when there was no other customers on site. The staff were rude and completely unhelpful. When they finally decided that taking my money was a better idea than texting on their phones, it did not get any better.
