Ed is a very approachable, low-key individual with lots of experience and a willingness to share his knowledge. He was not pushy or the typical salesperson. I feel he is genuinely seeking to help his customers find the answers to their audio questions. I don’t do online reviews but my experience with Audio-Ultra warrants the highest rating.
Ed is a pleasure to do business with. I have visited his demo rooms on multiple occasions, and so appreciate how welcoming he has been each time. He’s extremely knowledgeable, and happy to share his insight with you — but never comes across as overly pushy. It’s clear that Ed wants you to get gear that makes you happy, and invests in long-term relationships with customers (vs. focusing on driving the immediate sale). Was looking locally for someone to troubleshoot a vintage Sony 5520 turntable experiencing a recurring audio problem on one channel that would appear usually within a half hour of play. Contacted Audio-Ultra & Ed explained he doesn’t normally deal in vintage equipment but offered to come & take a look. Don’t waste your time. I scheduled an appointment, received 2 confirmations, and drove down with my family on Father’s Day. I found a shady industrial park with no signage, and no one answering the phone until someone picked up purporting to be in Italy telling me I have the wrong number. I don’t know what this is, but it’s either not an audio store or completely unprofessional. Now I’ll drive 45 minutes back home.
