A very good independent audio store. I like this shop very much. John, the owner, has been helpful and the audio equipment was very good for the money spent. I'm far from wealthy,but I know music well, and I managed to put together a nice sounding system with Rega equipment which is some of the best you can get for a real-world price. If you want really good musical sounding gear at a reasonable price this is a great place to go.
Please let's be fair and accurate I am John Zimmerman, proprietor of The Audio Connection. Regarding the "not so good" review posted by Chris P I would like to bring some crucial facts to light that were omitted by Mr. P. First of all one can only do so much with what one is given to work with. Mr. P's turntable is quite old and not in very good condition. This was pointed out to him at the time the turntable was dropped off. He is correct the cartridge carrier was loose allowing it to rotate and move forward and back. The t... read more
For repair? I don't think so Nor would I trust him again OK, I have purchased components from John at The Audio Connection in past years. That was OK - if not a bit over the top with audio snake oil -but iI ignored that stuff. When It came time to replace my Phono Cartridge I planned on doing it myself but realizing the importance of experience when adjusting a cartridge and the trade tools necessary to do a professional job I decided to take it in to John. I left it with him in the morning and picked it up late that day. He... read more

Best 2-channel audio store in Seattle First of all, let me preface this review by saying that I have been a customer of The Audio Connection for the past 20 years and have become friends with John Zimmerman, the owner, over time. In this day and age of chain stores and impersonal service, John??s store is a welcome anachronism. This is the store to go to for 2-channel sound.
