Had an extremely rude experience with a security officer tonight (4/4/25 7:00pm) going through domestic departures security. He was very unfriendly and condescending. I'm not sure why as I was friendly to him and the security point wasn't busy. He basically made me feel like an idiot for not realizing he was calling me over to his station. But he only called out to me once and I didn't understand what he said due to a heavy accent. Seems they are under staffed. It took ages just to pass the security check and immigration border. Do not trust the waiting time on the board, it took more than 1hr to pass them. I almost missed our flight!
I was surprised to see that Auckland Airport had zero signs for rideshare. Unlike other airports, there were no directions from inside the terminal to help you figure out where to catch your ride.
