I’ve had multiple visits to this hospital over the last few weeks, and while some of the care I’ve received from staff has been great, my experiences have mostly been horrible and traumatic. The general vibe is understaffed, unorganised, rude and careless. I’ve spent hours in the waiting room, asleep, crying, begging for help while patients visiting before and after me have been seen and gone. Absolutely pathetic excuse for an emergency department. Came in with a twisted ankle and was left sitting there for OVER 4 HOURS doing absolutely nothing. And before anyone pulls the “busy ED” excuse; the waiting room was basically EMPTY. A handful of patients, yet staff moving like it’s a paid nap shift. Zero urgency. Zero care. Zero respect. We had a truly wonderful experience with the maternity team at Auburn hospital for the birth of our daughter, and we’re incredibly grateful for the care we received. I had an amazing visit to Auburn Hospital Emergency Department. My dad was in severe pain and received treatment within half an hour. Patients were being seen very quickly, and the staff were absolutely amazing. This is the first time I’ve experienced such efficient service in the almost 16 years I’ve been going there.
