Have been a patient for several years and has mostly been OK until recently. Receptionist/fitter was recently rude and demeaning. She told me that my close vision glasses were for distance and the distance for close vision. I let her know that she had it backwards. She told me, "No, you're wrong, how are those for close up?" I told her that since they were distance they sucked for close-up. She then told me to try the other pair. I told her that I already had. She then said, "No, you didn't". So I put them on again and told her that her that since they were for close they still sucked at distance. She was annoyed that I was upset by being called a liar or stupid. She finally figured out that she had switched the paperwork, but no apology. The prescription didn't work because the Dr did not follow my request and make the diopter correction in both eyes the same.
I made an appointment for 2 weeks later to correct the problem.
When I brought up the issue about the receptionist/fitter Dr Dan Belagic was uncaring and combative when I complained. He said, "I wasn't there". I asked if that meant he had no responsibility for his staff he said, "I'm just here to talk about your prescription". I asked if he would bring her into the room so we could resolve the issue, he said, "No"
I got a partial refund, no glasses, and no apology just animosity.
They seem to be OK if things go smoothly but don't dare to complain.
