I have had such a horrible experience with medical practitioners that I started to give up and hadn't been taking care of myself as well as I should be. On the rare occasion I found a good one, they would leave the practice or retire (one left to join the Army). I had surgery and fell through every crack imaginable and just wrote off medicine after that and did what I could to heal on my own.
