Au Mandarin Restaurant is great! The food is very delicious here. Located in the World Financial Center, I like their open roof concept. I loved their crispy noodles. It was delicious. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
THE WORSE CHINESE FOOD IN NEW YORK - STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! – Live in the neighborhood and used to work in WFC before 2001. Recently tried Au Mandarin again after many years and I was terribly dissapointed and still sick to my stomach now. The food arrived at the table cold, the sauce was nasty and thick and looked worse than goo and they had the audacity to charge for rice...stay away from this place until someone shuts it down and replaces it with a decent restaurant.
Fine Dining Au Mandarin is an elegant Chinese restaurant that also does takeout. The restaurant is beautiful and the service is good. The staff is very attentive. The food is expensive compared to many Chinese restaurants but it is very delicious and worth the extra cost.
Why go anyplace else? – Want some good chinese at lunch or for dinner? Swing by this family-owned restaurant and check out their awesome selection, I'd order the soft-shell crab (hmm hmm gooooood). Oh and the owner's daughter is a cutie too (that helps).
Delivery – There's much better chinese food out there. I had great initial impressions due to the quick delivery and the staff following my directions on my special order. If your company isn't paying for it, search out one of the other chinese food places.
