First let me say that I am a loyal patient of the Atwater Eye Care Center. The coronavirus crisis has caused Indiana University to temporarily shut down and sent students off campus. Why, then, is the Eye Care Center still open for business as usual? The optometry students working at the clinic should have been sent off campus as all other students did. The Clinic itself should be temporarily shut down like the rest of the university in order to protect the employees and the patients from the coronavirus. I feel it is ir... read more
I just had my First Experience this past Saturday and I've had nothing but trouble ever since. Trying to get my glasses ordered has been a huge ordeal and still have to wait til Tomorrow to do so! They were late getting me in for my appointment (close to 30 mins) and I was Definitely Early for paperwork. Then they closed quick so couldn't deal much with the eyeglasses, and now it has been so Frustrating trying to order mine and my husband's glasses. No I can't say I would recommend them. Thank You. It's so nice when businesses actually care about others, rather than just getting people in and out of the door. Went to Atwater Eye Care Center to have my glasses repaired after so many seizures. The frames and lenses were intact, but the glue they put in the sides to keep them from being adjustable had come undone... so they re-glued them and then SHRINK-WRAPPED the join! Astounding! Business response:
We're so glad that we were able to help you! Hope you are doing well.

Had my annual exam. Instead of getting submitted as routine, which it was, they put it through my medical insurance. So, I owed them over $100 since I hadn't met my deductible. I talked to a staff person almost 2 weeks ago. They said they would ask doc to review and probably resubmit. Told me to call back in a week. I have left 3 messages and gotten no response. In addition, upon checking out from the exam, they had me pay$30 for "refraction", which they said was to verify my current glasses prescription. Why when I bought t... read more
If you want to help students learn and have lots of time and the stamina to endure the bright lights in your eyes, it is a beneficial thing to go there. However, you are being examined by a learner and you would think that they would charge less so that people come. You would be wrong. They are one of the most expensive places in town. I was a customer for 8 years but they have priced themselves out of my philanthropy.
Atwater Eye Care Center has a 4.6 star rating with 576 reviews.
Atwater Eye Care Center is closed now. It will open at 9:00 a.m.
