My practice in Lower Manhattan is special to me because the very people I care for are the same people I interact with on a regular basis, whether it'sat the local coffee shop, the neighborhood park, or the grocery store. I am fortunate to be able to give back to my local community in that way, while at the same time engaging in clinical research that focuses on developing new therapies to improve the quality and duration of the patients we serve.

My spouse recently had several stints placed. Dr. Sharma took his time on both occassions to make sure we understood the procedure and answer all our questions. We did not feel rushed he was never too busy and gave us his nu.ber if we had follow up questions. I was very pleased and appreciative of his professionalism balanced with his caring manner. I highly recommend Dr. Sharma and the cardiology team at NYU Langone, all the staff were excellent.
Very professional. Knowledgeable and caring. Listens to you. Very reassuring. Puts you at ease.
My father was falsely diagnosed with having atrial fibrillation by cardiologist, Dr. Atul Sharma who recommended surgeon, Dr. Larry Chinitz, for a cardiac ablation. He underwent an unnecessary cardiac ablation when a injury occurred to his esophagus. He was not aware or informed that a complication occurred when he was discharged. That untreated complication caused his death, 34 days later. A review of his medical records showed that surgeon, Dr. Chirag Barbhaiya, performed the ablation instead of Dr. Larry Chinitz. Amazing he is a gift from god !
Dr.Sharma is not only a phenomenal physician, he is truly kind and empathetic; probably, the nicest doctor that I’ve ever seen, and unfortunately, I’ve seen A LOT. I cannot recommend him enough.
Dr. Sharma put three stents into my coronary artery, making a tremendous difference in my life. My symptoms of fatigue, and shortness of breath are now gone, and I can be more active, physically. I found his staff to be highly professional and efficient. In all my dealings with Dr. Sharma, I felt he was positive, and personable, and put me at ease while he worked. I found him to be an absolute delight throughout it all, and the results of his work, truly astounding.
Dr. Sharma provided excellent advice about choosing an cardiac electrophysiologist with whom I've been very pleased. Dr. Sharma questioned me about symptoms and listened carefully to my answers. I've seen him for four years now and feel fortunate to have found this doctor!
Every visit over 16 years has been pleasant & reassuring.
Dr. Sharma treated me last week, unblocking two very occluded coronary arteries after an emergency admission to the hospital. It was perfectly executed. I felt safe and comfortable the entire hospital stay….cannot be positive enough!!
