Dr. Kukar saved my life. I was diagnosed with Congested Heart Failure in 2008 while I resided in Georgia. I was on medication and hospitalized three times over the course of six years. I relocated to New York in 2014 and was seen by Dr. Kukar at the Floating Hospital. He diagnosed me with an Aortic Aneurysm. Dr. Kukar and his staff were all rather exceptional! The doctor was especially validating and ordered thorough screenings to investigate my symptoms. He explained everything to me without a drop of condescension (something I am sensitive to, due to past experiences with other providers) and was open to my input. We even joked around a bit at certain points; nice guy! Most importantly, though, I left feeling confident in the quality of my care.
i went for a cardiac catherterization with a doctor Kukar. I awoke on a gurney being told by a nurse I could not leave the hospital. I needed an immediate bypass and i could die at any second. The doctor never came to see me to tell me what he found that was so life threatning that i had to be remanded in the hospital for nearly a week being poked and prodded at all hours of the night. Dr. Kukar is a caring, extremely competant and intelligent doctor. He takes the time to explain all procedures and helps present all options that are available in a language that is easily understood.You know if he is involved you are in very capable hands.
Very caring, very patient, understands and talks Spanish as well which helps his diverse patients at the Lenox Hill Hospital of Northwell. Takes his time to explain all in details.
