I have an old American Stairways retractable ladder with a broken spring arm assembly. Jay help me through the repair as replacement parts aren’t available. His suggestions worked out perfectly.
If you are in need of attic stair replacement parts, Jay is your person! We were in need of a replacement arm on a set of stairs that was old and had been discontinued. When I initially reached out, he didn't have any parts available, but reached back out once he found them. His thoughtfulness and follow-up saved us from having to replace the entire set of stairs. Jay's customer service was exceptional, his prices were fantastic, and the shipping was fast. Would recommend to anyone! Thank you!
Jay did a great job installing my attic lift. I don't know how I have lived without it thus far. He was very professional and communicated great. He also made sure no mess was left behind. Had a hinge on a 46 year old pull down attic stair from an indeterminate manufacturer, fail. The usual sources were of no help in coming up with a replacement part. After an exhaustive internet search, I found the Attic Ladder Guy, aka Jay Colt. Outstanding service! I was in a bind with my attic ladder and looking at needing to pay over $1000 to replace and install it. But Attic Ladder Guy provided me with a simple, few dollar suggestion to avoid pulling out and replacing the ladder. He didn't earn any money from me, but he earned my respect.
