I was a patient of Dr. Atta Butt and left due to serious concerns about his willingness to refer patients for necessary specialist care. A chest X-ray taken during my care showed a significant hiatal hernia. He did not refer me for follow-up for this. Shortly thereafter I ended up in the ER and had a CT scan that confirmed a giant paraesophageal hernia Type III/IV with gastric volvulus — meaning my stomach had herniated into my chest cavity and was twisted.
