Our visit to the ED at WFB ED has mixed feelings. DR Ford did an excellent job arranging my husbands emergency surgery. The nursing staff was extremley understaffed or unorganized not providing the care needed and expected,
My fianceé went in for swelling in the head, dizziness, nausea, and excruciating pain in the head and jaw. The doctor, Lisa Evans was very unprofessional. The neurologist ordered an MRI and staff straight up refused the MRI. My fianceé’s blood was not taken, no scans were taken, and in their notes, they were considering hospitalization but they said that it didn’t need hospital intervention because “evaluation and diagnostic testing is not considered an emergent condition” ??? they didn’t even do anything. Charge nurse wouldn’t even take a look at my mother as she stated that she felt like she was going to pass out. No medication given not even a hand lifted to see how her 0xygen levels were. Lexington hospital will let you did if you give them the opportunity I wouldn’t recommend bringing a spider to be seen at this horrible place
For the second time in the year, I had major issues with the security guards at the Atrium Health emergency department in Lexington, NC. Again, the overzealous security guards stuck their noses in my acute emergency situation. As I was suffering an extremely painful pancreatitis flare up, I thought I was about to pass out. As I went to let a nurse know, a female security guard accosted me and told me they will get me when they're ready!
