the staff was soo nice and reassured me of my worries. wait time in the ER were not long at all!! smooth and easy, thank you to all the nurses and doctors of the ER!!!

I went to the ER on 11/12/23, 11a & was shocked how quick & well I was treated. We stopped going years before due to the opposite. I didn't even wait in the waiting room & I was not an urgent patient. I was taken to a room with my dad and everything happened quickly. I had a stomach bug, very dehydrated & they got testing, including a CT. They did all possible, warm blankets the moment i said i was cold, the nurse was kind & attentive. including providing pain meds as needed no questions. I was ambulanced in to high point regional emergency department with extreme pain in my neck that was increasing, and loss of function on my entire right side. I was alone and scared, crying and in such pain that I couldn’t stand it. While the doctors were fantastic, I would say there were two nurses that were unfeeling and rude. One was a young woman in pigtails. I couldn’t use my right arm and hand and the left arm was unusable because it was basically tied down with the iv. This is the worst hospital imaginable. The staff are so ignorant that they lack the ability to fax prescriptions to a pharmacy. They cant give a physical copy if someone lost it but all be damned if they wont lie and say they sent it off as I have been up there 3 times already about it.

Went to ER around 10 am. About 5 hours later I ask if I could go get something to eat because I'm diabetic. Was told by nurse that since I'm not on insulin I can eat from vending machine. I told them to check my chart it shows I'm on TWO different insulins for my type 1 diabetes. Now I'm not a Rocket Scientist but she should have just looked at my records and seen I was on insulin. I watched everybody leave that was there before me. Then I started seeing people leave that had come in a couple of hours after me. I kept asking... read more
