If you can avoid going to this ER, please do—especially if you are a person of color. Carmella Frances D’Incognito and her staff are a disgrace to the medical community. The treatment I received was unacceptable from the physician to the nursing staff and security. This hospital is the worst hospital to go to. I have endometriosis & I’ve had it since I was 21. If you are BLACK please do go here unless you can’t breathe. I will be filing a complaint with the board. You don’t treat people like this. Doctor refused to give me my medication all because I was too much in pain to take it in a shot form . I went in for severe pain that I'd been experiencing for days and was dismissed with no assistance or plan for care other than see the specialist that I already had an appointment booked with.
The Emergency Department was quick to get me in and the nurses and Doctors listened to everything and treated me accordingly.
This is the second time I've gone to Atrium health Stanley ER. I'm very humiliated and embarrassed by my treatment from Patrick Robinson md. He outright called me a drug abuser to my face and in front of everyone on staff. He has nothing to back this accusation up, nothing in my medical records or no medical testing. I'm outraged that I was treated like this. They went through my purse with No consent even though I gave them consent when I woke up from being asleep.
