No fewer than 6 medical professionals interacted around my son over the course of about 4 hours while he held a dry cloth on his open wound. None of the nurses or doctors thought to question, or think critically about how the wound was being treated, or not treated; prior to stitching it up. In the end I walked a nurse through the process of intellectual curiosity which led him to provide my son with a saline soaked cloth to hold on the wound.
