Surgery accomplished what Dr. Beckman thought it would and pathology was good report. I did have some nutrition problems early on and some sort of infection complicated things with the healing process but HPB worked with me to get on a good mending track.
6/30/26 UPDATE: I am ecstatic to announce that I am still alive and well thanks to these to wonderful physicians, whom I check in with on an annual basis. I literally owe them my life. ORIG REVIEW: I was referred to Dr. Beckman of HPB Surgery by Dr. V Patel of NE Digestive in mid-2022, when I was literally deathly ill of malnutrition and abnormal test results of my pancreas, gallbladder and liver. No one wants the diagnosis of something traumatic. However everyone at this location has made a terrifying experience much better. From the folks who answer the phone to the assistants nurses and the surgeon, Dr. Kalabin have been exceptional. Excellent care from the beginning. This practice is a team, and they know their patients and the issues. I would highly recommend them for any biliary needs, mine was severe and they made it right and were above and beyond in my care.
