My husband has been in the memory care unit for about 6 weeks now. He is very high functioning relative to other residents but has had episodes of elopement, thus the need for secure housing. The staff are doing a great job of developing activities and opportunities to meet his need, which are not standard but this has benefitted other similar residents. Hyland Hills is MUCH better than I ever imagined a facility like this could be. I was terrified about putting Mom into this type of setting, but they are taking care of her exceptionally fantastically GREAT. I hope that my kids move me into Hyland Hills if the need ever arrises.
