Not the whole informaton given when we signed up – Staff were helpful but there were things that were not conveyed to us when we placed our relative in Atria memory care. Like they could not help feed the person when they could no longer feed themselves. Living a considerable distance from Hillsdale, we tried to communicate questions and information via email but were told if we continued sending emails, they would charge more money. Dead in less than a week – After less than a week in their care, my father was rushed to the hospital with “acute renal failure, caused by severe dehydration”, and died the next day. The Dr. that was attending him told me the ONLY reason anyone would be in his condition would be from gross negligence. Then, 3 days after he died, The Atria had the gall to send me a bill for the next months charges!! This place is only interested in your families money, and stealing from their insurance company.
