I have had nothing but positive results every time I've worked with 5/3rd. Rob Magnesen at the LGP branch and Jennifer Avalos at the E.Ogden Naperville branch have been extremely helpful in closing my mothers trust account. It's hard to come by employees that know what they are doing these days but these 2 absolutely do !

I went in for currency exchange but don’t have an account. According to fifth third bank website, they allow this, but I was turned away by the teller? I don’t know what she gained from lying to me. Edit: I called the number they suggested which is just for their social media dep. anyways they gave me numbers to various branches near me to ask and check if they exchange currency for non customers (even though again, the website says they do) so I called a different branch, and what do you know, they *do*. Teller was not very professional. I felt like I was dealing with a human ATM. I am a long time bank customer, this is my first time feeling disappointed about the service!

The previous location and staff was much better but unfortunately now closed (off Naper Blvd near OfficeMax). Yesterday, I got vacation cash, and the lady refused to count it in front of me. She kept her back to the machine that counted it, so I could not see that either. She just handed me a wad of cash, of different denominations, and gave me an envelope. I said, "Oh, I'll get out of your way. I thought you'd count it in front of me, and separate the denominations." She said nothing. Of course, she got it wrong, and transp... read more

Worst ever experience had at this branch. Jenifer Alvarez, the teller was handling customers very badly. Didn’t pay good attention to the jobs that she was doing. Very disappointed. The rudest bank teller I ever met.
