Elizabeth Czigler is an amazing physical therapist! I had ankle surgery in December and started therapy in January at another center. After no progress in March, I switched to Newton Atlantic health care and met Liz. I walked in with crutches and in less than a month was walking on my own. She is knowledgeable and listened to me with all my difficulties. I am grateful to her for giving me my freedom back. I highly recommend Elizabeth Czigler because she cares and will go above and beyond to help you. Thank you Liz!!!
Overall poor experience with OT. I definitely do not recommend. After moving out of state and seeing new doctors I was informed of all the ways I could have received better treatment after my stroke when I was 39. Unfortunately getting the right treatment 3 years after a stroke is too far out for any meaningful use of my affected arm. I’m living with functional use of one arm and daily pain in the other arm that received “treatment” at Newton OT. See real OTs, get a good medical doctor.
I have been going for PT for several months at Newton. When my doctors recommended PT I really blew it off as being of little use to me. I couldn't have been more wrong. I have had two different regimens for my lower back and legs, and for my arms and shoulders. I've had very good relief and results with both. Everyone there is terrific but especially Katie, Liz, Michele, and Shyami, therapists. All very thorough and caring. I am going to Atlantic Rehabilitation in Newton’s hospital. They have all been amazing in helping get my shoulder better. I have worked with Tyler, Shyami, and Liz so far. Each has helped me and helped explain what is going on with my shoulder and given exercises that are helping. It’s been amazing so far
