Atlantic Motor Works is exactly the kind of business that makes Marblehead the community that it is. John runs the shop with honesty and transparency—he’s as straightforward as they come. I’ve been bringing my car here for two years, and every time I leave, I understand a little more about my vehicle. It’s rare to find a mechanic who’s not just trustworthy, but also takes the time to educate you

I called ahead of time asking if the shop was busy to bring in car for tire repair. On the phone I asked if that is something that the do. I was told to stop by later in the day and I did. As soon as I walked in they told me they are not able to do it for my car (they did not ask make/model or type of tire) and casually offered to replace it. Went 4 miles down the road and had it fixed in 10 mins. Lesson learned.

I had a family emergency and needed my car checked out for the drive. John was not only compassionate, he thoroughly looked over my car to make sure it was safe to take the trip. He and his crew found a few issues, repaired them right away and went above and beyond to make sure I was safely on the road in a timely manner. I’ve had repairs done here before and feel lucky to have them in town.
