Really disappointing stay. Host claims they did not receive an update to the reservation so they were not ready for arrival. Spend over 45 minutes dealing with calls codes and finally get something to work to let us in. Code and lock handle in bad condition. Additionally, they didn’t leave an extra key as described in the lockbox. The next day. They said they would leave a key and they did deliver but forgot to give me the code to the box! We elected to have Vacasa manage our Carteret County, NC property. What a mistake! They over promised and undelivered in every way imaginable. Initially, we were given an overly exuberant expectation of what we could plan to receive in income. A number that was less than half of what we earned. Vacasa failed to maintain the property, ensure the cleanliness before and after the tenants checked in. On at least one occasion, a tenant refused to occupy the unit because it was filthy. I’ve never stayed anywhere on vacation where I couldn’t get an early check in. Can’t get ahold of any actual people only automatic messages. They say they will call you but they won’t. Have a 2 year old who has been in the car for hours now still waiting in an extreme heat advisory because they can’t get our room ready. Asking an hour to 30 minutes early check in isn’t asking much at all. Especially when check out for guests is at 11. Just laziness and mismanagement. Very poor service
Would not recommend. Day 1, we found a cockroach in the kitchen and then hairs in the restroom and the kitchen. Later on in the week, the exterior walls of our condo were being worked on so it was the constant bang of hammers for hours - with no heads-up from Vacasa. Spend your money elsewhere.
