Dr. Powell is a wonderful, caring eye doctor for your pet. She's ever so gentle and works well wi my dog who doesn't like people messing wi his eyes anyway. She explains everything that's going on in as much detail as you'd like.
Absolutely the best choice you can make for your dog!! Dr. Powell is amazing, and very knowledgeable. It's a joy to bring my crazy nutty Shar Pei Meatball to AVAC!!
Dr Powell has taken care of 3 if my babies and saved their sight. She is wonderful and very thorough and explains everything. She is a great find.

Cannot say enough about Dr. Powell-Johnson and her staff. From the minute I walked in for the first appointment, the courtesy, consideration and especially the care my dog received was wonderful. The comprehensive exam and Dr.Powell-Johnson's thorough explanation of every single aspect of her findings along with an aggressive and extensive treatment plan gave me every confidence we're in great hands with this practice!
Dr Powell is the best at what she specializes in! She is extremely passionate and very well organized. She takes the time out to explain everything in great detail!
I've never had a veterinarian spend so much time with me thoroughly explaining my pets condition. I cannot tell you how much this was appreciated. It really gave a overly worried dog mom some reassurance. And the patience and gentleness Dr. Powell-Johnson used with my ole mutt didn't go unnoticed either. Thank you so much for your service!!

I wish I had read the reviews first. I did research but I didn't find these before I went... She has a terrible bedside manner. She seems to take it personally if you have questions like you are questioning her expertise. Very arrogant. Also, she overcharged me for some unnecessary ointments that weren't even packaged with instructions. Outdated office.. from the looks and experience of it, you would think it would cost way less. I decided to do the surgery elsewhere where I could get another procedure done at the same time ... read more
