Use a vibrator when placing concrete. They were placing 20' x 30' concrete slab with footing and 5/8 rebar at 18" o. c.. I asked foreman why wasn't he using vibrator, which was just laying there on ground, he said: "I doesn't work" I said get working vibrator here, now, or I shut down job. He went to go get working one. I called owner and said same. Had I not said something, they would have placed all concrete without vibrating, wrong, absurd, ridiculous.
