ATK H.P. engines are built with cheap parts. Specifically the 360Magnum needs different parts than the L.A. 360. Jegs has no idea what’s needed. I did the research and it all worked out. The 360 Magnum specifically needs a different oil filter backing plate. The 360 L.A. has a smaller milled block for a smaller assembly. Like the 90’ or the L.A. oil filter backing plate will be to small. They will always leak. They do not reproduce the Magnum oil filter backing plate. I know ATK is a respected manufacturer of automobile engines, but the ATH HP 94M 383 Stroker they sold my cousin in 2020 is a real lemon. He installed it then while restoring and hot-rodding the Chevy 210 that's been in our family since my uncle bought it new in 1956. But he got Covid, passed away, and never got to drive it with that big engine. You Can NOT get build details on their site. I wonder why?
Do not use this company, I should have taken the bad reviews I found more seriously before taking a chance for myself. The first motor they sent me locked up after starting it up 2 times and getting TDC. I primed it with oil and verified this with the valve covers off before every cranking the motor over for first fire up. During my warranty claim process, I opted for a shop to put in the second engine they sent due to lack of time.
