Good gym… been coming for 10 years to every location.. off season staffing is a little off putting. I haven’t been able to renew my monthly membership because no one is staffed around 3pm-on…. The guy today, who wasn’t the owners son, made me wait for him to get off the stair stepper before taking care of me. That’s not how you deal with customers in any line of business lol. This gym is known for its’ atmosphere, which is lacking in this location.
The gym is nice and the staff is beyond amazing. I visited it during the summer (i’m european and i worked in OC for a while) and had a great experience overall. My complaint would be about some of the inconsiderate people going there. Not putting weights away, dropping them from high up, being extremely loud, not cleaning after themselves and leaving the machines in poor condition. Visited for a week and used the gym 4 times in the early morning 7am range. I had gone to the other gym in town in previous years and wanted to try this one. Nothing wrong with the other place, but this is the one I will come to in the future. Very friendly staff, larger space with more weights and equipment. Also, small thing but this does have free street parking (metered street parking at the other gym). Very reasonable passes $12 daily, $20 for 2-day, and I think $29 3-day, $47 weekly as of 8/2025. I cannot understand why people give this gym a 4 star rating. This gym needs a major facelift and overhaul as one member mentioned. While the cardio machines are newer, I have to agree that much of the equipment being very old with some machines being broken (see attached pics). In addition the carpeting has stains and looks like it was never replaced from the day the gym opened.
