BMW M54 & S52 ATI Super Damper fails at protecting from harmonics. Accelerated crank and oil pump failures with unmodified N/A engines (OEM crank, OEM rods and OEM pistons) while endurance racing. OEM damper has proven to have extended engine life over ATI super damper. ATI refuses to respond and tells BMW customers to contact VAC motorsports, VAC motorsports responds by telling customer to contact ATI. ATI tech are nothing more than Advanced Auto level tech people that read from a script and know nothing more than that. I specifically explained my situation and Stuart insisted on the one to buy. After seeing an issue I wrote in as well as called and spoke to ROB the supposed head of the department. He can only ask the same thing stuart did, "Is it bottomed out?" How can you tell this when the timing chain cover is on? I even tried to explain that the other one I wanted had a different hub number and they would not listen. ... read more
