Wow. I haven’t felt that uncomfortable at a store in a long time. No one greeted me when I entered, no one asked me if I needed any help/talked to me about the merchandise, and the clearly superiority-complex’ed staff spoke almost exclusively to each other while seeming like they were deliberately avoiding me. Customer service is always top tier here! I was here this morning and I didn't get everyone's name except Nicolette. This is by far my favorite location. I'm midsized and I never feel bad about not fitting into a size 2 here. Everyone is helpful but not overbearing. Everyone knows the the style names of literally everything and they all know what's in stock. They have a good selection of sizes and I get to pick cute styles and never just handed the one sad, plain black, XL sized bra with someone else's deodorant stain on it ... read more

感じ悪いわー。 サウスポートは、アッパーミドルの白人のエリアだが、前から女性が感じ悪いと思う事がたまにある。 店内に入ると、若い黒人女性が話しかけてくれた。その後、店内を物色。 ゲイらしき白人男性スタッフと白人の女性スタッフが店内のお客に色々と声をかけでいる。 だが、私にはスルー。 隣にいても目を合わせようともしない。 気のせいかも思いたかったが、しばらくいて、どうやらそうではなさそうだと思った。 値段は高いが、デザインも良く、素材も悪くなさそうだったので、買おうと思ったものが何着かあったが、残念ながら買うことはしなかった。 Lululemon の事を思う。 ここの創設者は、このブランドの前から日本とビジネスを密接にしていた。このブランドが立ち上がる時に、何故にこの名前にしたのですか？と、聞かれ、日本人がLの発音が出来なかったから面白いので、３つLを入れた名前にしたんだ、と言ったのである。 会社は、創設者はもう会社の経営に携わっていないと声明を出した。 私は米国の日本企業で働いているアメリカ人なのに、日本を見さげていたり、舐めている人を多く見てきた。最近の米国の若者は、そんな事はないので、これは嬉しいと思うが、悲しい事である。
