Received excellent service all round.
Ended up in emergency on 13/8/25 … the care I received was second to none , communication was 10/10 as well . Admin staff , nurses & Drs were so compassionate. Our public health services don’t receive the credit they deserve ! Well done to all the staff , I was sorted & quickly transferred to Cairns by ambulance. I also work in public heath so being on the other side was very different ! Thank you Atherton Hospital .
Understaffed- make sure you have atleast 10 hours to wait in the waiting room. Fancy new hospital with no staff - isnt that helpful.
Understaffed for how many people come to use there services, disorganised, and poor management and in general absolutely appalling, the only thing that might be alright is some faculty members. They renovated the hospital yet the wait time is 7 hours maybe 14 if its a 2 day thing. The waiting room is small and not very accessible for larger people as the chairs are small. Hearby 1 star
A big shout out to Jarman who went out of his way to escort my elderly mum and I through the old hospital to the new medical imaging department yesterday. Your help was very much appreciated.
