Personal, caring, friendly care
God forbid if you advocate for your own healthcare. I never had issues with my previous doctors and specialists. I have always had doctors who were willing to hear my concerns and take the time to address those concerns.
Dr. Amy Clark was my primary care doctor when I lived in the shoals and she was with Shoals Primary Care. There was an office I can't remember the name and that's where I first met her in 2016. She was a VERY good, caring, compassionate, competent, kind, and a decent doctor. When other doctors would drop the ball she'd pick it up and take care of things immediately. Looking back on things I am fortunate I was under her care while I lived in Alabama. It's good to see she is still practicing and getting rave reviews.
I filled out the new patient paperwork over a month ago, and I’m still waiting on them to schedule an appointment. They’ll tell you it takes up to 48 hours for them to do so, but each follow up call is just them saying “it takes some time, call back in a week or so if you haven’t heard anything.” If it’s taking them over a month to go over new patient papers, I’m afraid of how long it’d take to get an appointment. If you’d like to get in this year, look elsewhere.
I have been seeing Dr Stocks for a few months. I have multiple health issues and have been struggling to get answers for several years. Even though I challenge Dr Stocks because of my poor experiences with doctors, he has been very patient and open with me. He seems to really want to help. Not many doctors have a good "bedside manner" anymore so it is good to see there are a few still out there.
