What an awesome oasis in the Red Centre. About 2hrs North of Alice Springs. Powered, unpowered and bush camping options. Green grassy sites, toilets and a pool to cool off in. Watch the birds and farms animals and relax in quiet setting. Amazing hosts Danyelle and Anthony have a wonderful farm just off the main Hwy.
We went out of our way on the 2hr drive north of Alice Springs so our son could meet Outback Farmers/Truckers Danielle and Anthony and their family, to say we were disappointed was an understatement they weren't welcoming or receptive in any way. Very disappointing The grassed areas were amaizing (Not alot of shade for campers) and the toilets/showers very clean. The pool was very very dirty. We had the privilege of staying at Athelle Outback Hideaway in June 2025. In the outback you don’t expect the ritz, but they’ve done a great job of creating a delightful hideaway and farm stay experience. Anthony & Danielle were great hosts and our couple of days of quiet outback relaxation was awesome.
An oasis in the desert! Beautiful location, camping/caravan sites on green grass. Multiple activities for the kids. Amenities spotless, free washing machine, pool! We will be back! Thanks for a beautiful stay.
We had an amazing 2night stay. Loved every thing about it from the wonderful welcome on arrival to the sunsets at night. Staff were fantastic and went out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable it was wonderful to meet the Outback truckers in person.
