We had the best day trip with At the Waters Edge / Ecosummer Adventures! Our guides were so fantastic and lots of fun to be out on the water with. All of the equipment was well maintained. The day trip was a perfect amount of kayaking with a great lunch and a good sized small group! And a boat picked us and the kayaks up so we were able to make it all the way to the Bight and do some additional whale watching. To top it all off we were lucky enough to have amazing wildlife encounters!!
I joined a 5 day kayak trip of Blackfish Sound. The wildlife viewing was excellent, easily the best that I have ever experienced. This tour was late in the season, September, we had some great weather and some fog but nothing serious. The Guide and other guests were great, we all bonded very well and even other paddlers and other commercial groups were very friendly. Des étoiles dans les yeux ! Merci à AWE pour cette magnifique journée en Kayak. Ana est une guide formidable qui nous a fait découvrir toute la richesse de la vie sauvage de Blackfish Sound. Nous avons pu apercevoir des orques, des baleines, des lions de mer. Mention spéciale pour le groupe de dauphins qui a croisé notre chemin avec le taxi bateau. C'était tout simplement incroyable. Merci encore, a refaire sans hésitation sur une plus longue durée.
Fantastic. We only did the day tour. Loved it. Beautiful scenery all around. Zoe was a fantastic guide, made a great lunch and is a lovely person. So much so we wish we could adopt her into our family. Humpbacks, orcas, and sea lions were around. It was foggy in the morning and hearing the whales blowing (too foggy to see them) was mystical. It later cleared up. During our lunch break a humpback swam near the shore, maybe only 75 meters from us. Would definitely go with At The Waters again if Zoe was our guide!
Excellent company! Kai is an amazing guide!
