His neglect nearly led to my father's death... an issue that was caught in the ER within an hour wasn't caught over the course of months. And even after apologizing for missing it, the aftercare is non-existent. Zero stars.
I went to this clinic as a walk-in, thinking, “Okay, maybe they’ll help me, maybe it’ll be fine” WRONG! I had an appointment with Ahvan Shokri, and I cannot, I repeat, CANNOT call this guy a doctor! I booked an appointment for Tuesday at 11:50am, I confirmed this time twice on the phone. However, when I drove to the clinic for my appointment, they said my appointment got changed to Friday afternoon without anyone informing me. Huge waste of time considering I drove across the city for my appointment. There needs to be better communication and better trained staff, because this is not the first time this has happened to me
Being a nurse for 20 years I found myself requiring a new family physician due to mine retiring his practice. I was lucky enough to locate Dr. Shokri after experiencing a couple of other physicians and their questionable assessment/treatment methods. I have have had nothing but positive experiences with his treatment/assessment and referral regimens. I have referred two friends and my twin daughters to him as well as they were in search of an adult physician after they aged out of their Pediatrician.
Dr.Shokri is an amazing doctor! He is real and relatable and kind. He really does care. He certainly knows his stuff. He is a great doctor. Anyone that sees him knows they are blessed to have him as their doctor! Astro clinic. Pembina Hwy.
