They are horrible with communication. And that led to my fathers death. After copious calls, most of which were not answered. I finaally got a nurse. He promised to run tests. He didn't. And didn't call back that dasy as promised, and then the facility did not answer for the next 2 days. My brother flew down there, but I had already called an ambulance. The physical therapy department is five star. They really care about the progress and health of the patient. Although a few of the nurses are attentive, caring and efficient, most seem bothered by having to care for the patients. What they pass off as meals are not nutritious, rarely what was requested, rarely even warm and repetitious. It seems a lot of money goes to the appearance of the place but little to serving healthy meals.
To Astoria Rehab & To The People that should of took care of My Daddy,, This Man has never ask for anyone to do anything for him ever 100 percent independent! He goes to your facility after having a stroke when he rolled in he had to be scared ( you would never know that, scared show weakness and he will not ever show that) He couldn’t use his legs & not to much of his left arm so he was dependent on YOUR CARE 😩 The first Red Flag was when he got there a person came in and Told him “ You Better get used to that bed becau... read more
Hire people that do not steal from patients !!!
Worst experience in health care I have ever had. Desperately wished I had never chosen them to provide care for my mother. She was there only 1 week and I could never get phone calls answered and after 3 days her online charts stopped being updated. In the end she was there 7 days developed double pneumonia and septic UTI and passed away without me ever being able to see or talk to her. Mom deserved much better care than I know she received there. Disappointed and devastated 😞

we can’t get anyone there to do their job! Have had to go to the dept of health numerous times.
RecommendedThe lady at the front desk (short white hair) went above and beyond for us today to make sure we got to FaceTime my grandma during this pandemic. We are very appreciative.
