An amazing experience at the Astoria birth center with the birth of our 7th baby. A very sweet group of empowering midwives and staff. Thank you for your patience with me and our large family. Our children loved the play area after the long drive. Would very much recommend for any new or seasoned mother looking for quality care and a beautiful homey environment to welcome their baby.
I cannot begin to express the gratitude I have to these beautiful, educated and caring women. My birthing experience here was everything you could ever hope for in such deeply emotional state of being. They continuously empowered me to make the choices I felt were best for myself, my family and our new addition. Not only have I had two absolutely divine deliveries at this birth center, but they also now have a fantastic lactation consultant! Whitney was so patient and encouraging and quickly figured out what was causing us so many issues with nursing. She was so knowledgeable and informative, and listened to all my concerns with so much care. This is my third time breastfeeding and I learned more in 1 hour with her than I have the past 3 years on my own! Tongue tie solved, baby is sleeping so much better!!
I am a little late to wright a review my daughter is around 21 months old right now, but if you are a pregnant woman thinking that you want to go the birthing center route instead of the hospital route, this place is a great place to consider going to. I had a wonderful experience here for my prenatal, birthing, and postpartum care. The midwives were fantastic and made me feel supported every step of the way. Ashley was with us during the birth, and I can’t say enough good things about her! She calmly encouraged me through the most stressful parts of birth and helped bring our healthy boy into the world! I loved being able to labour at home and have in-home visits. It was also super helpful to have a txt line for quick questions while recovering.
