Lifeguards were to controlling and very rude, my kids are teenagers and don’t need to be within arm length of me at all times, one lifeguard in particular needs a chill pill and to worry about the younger kids instead of ruining our experience after we told them to leave us alone, and yes we told the front desk……
Great pool! My family loves to swim here. Facilities are clean and safe. My only problem is that 3 of my swimsuits have been heavily discolored by this pool. My first 2 suits it took swimming there a couple of times for them to discolor, but my newest swimming suit was discolored in a matter of 1.5 hours! I had just used this swimming suit on vacation where I wore it in 3 different pools with no color change. However , at this pool, it suddenly it went from light blue to a weird ugly grey. The information sign on the Astoria walk points to the aquatic center as an available public restroom so we stopped here on our walk so that my husband could use the facility. After my husband went into the restroom, the person at the front desk said that we would need to pay a fee and asked for cash or a credit card. She was absolutely unprofessional and snotty in her tone. I still wished her a better day than she was having and did not let her attitude ruin my vacation ;)
