The representatives are inept, and lack understanding and the ability to hold a conversation without reading a script. They were successful in setting my expectations for a replacement phone, then yanking the carpet from under that lie and denying the claim. Never received a return call from a manager as I requested. Definitely a scam. You will get ran in circles for months. Your issue will not be resolved. Do not waste money on this insurance scam.
We filed a flood damage claim with Assurant in September 2024 (Claim #00201836310), and it took six months just to be reimbursed for the initial remediation costs. Throughout this process, we've dealt with three different desk adjusters and two outside adjusters—who are actually contractors, not insurance professionals. The first estimate they gave us excluded numerous necessary repairs, which delayed everything further.
