Dr. Shaffer is wonderful! He listens and answers all my questions and concerns! I feel at ease having him as my neurologist!
Took me a while to decide to leave a review but I think it’s important. My medical needs were ignored and handled by someone who did not know what they were doing. If you’ve got a chronic illness, especially a neurological one, there’s some anxiety around that. I asked for medication that is used for stopping seizures and its other use is for anxiety disorders. I previously had a bad experience with associated neurologists (around 10 years ago), but Dr. Shaffer is AMAZING. Everyone was so kind, including the medical assistants and front desk workers. Dr. Shaffer was thorough and addressed all of my problems (even ones that I wasn't there for!). I highly recommend Dr. Shaffer at Associated Neurologists. :)
Been seeing Dr, KIdd for a couple years. Nice enough but has not done anything for me and my migraines. Portal calls have been useless. All about the money and never helpful. I will work with you he says - Promises, promises.........Would never diagnose me and I had to suggest to him that perhaps I needed vestibular therapy, not the other way around. And - weather does indeed bring on migraines. He said it did not. Moving on and very disappointed and still sick with these things. UGH!!!
WARNING!! Be weary of overprescription from this office!! Went in for migraines and was told I had anxiety, yet still put on 60mg prednisone. Tried to deal with “anxiety” pains for months before finding out I had TMJ. Would have gone untreated and overprescribed if I had stayed at this office.
