Front desk never answers phones. If you leave messages, rarely do you get a response.Not enough advance notice that doctors are leaving practice. They just leave patients twisting in the wind. Avoid this place.
10 years with this doctor and they I came early 3 weeks ago they made me wait 1 hr Today’s appointment I am 15 late they tell to reschedule also I had a prescription. The doctor supposed to do some work for the insurance company so I can get my prescription but the doctor hasn’t done it and they believe lead me to believe it was because the doctors assistant quit. Very disappointing experience. My primary doctor left the practice and I was never informed. When I called to ask who my new primary doctor was, I was told I didn’t have one, and later was assigned to Dr. Derek Vigil. During my appointment, when I mentioned I had sought a second opinion, Dr. Vigil became upset, refused to discuss my referral, asked me to leave the room, and then canceled my appointment at the front desk. 5 stars for my dr. Dr. Samantha Burstell (wrong spelling) Has seen my husband for years. The first time I joined him on a visit, I made sure to check my insurance to see if I could switch to Sam. She is willing to listen and hear and actually do what you advocate for, obviously unless not safe. I have some issue we have been unable to find and it has torn me apart, however each time I get the nerve to start back, Sam just gives me this burst of positive vibes and hope. What has happened to AFP? My family has been patients of Dr. Barruw for 20 years. He is an amazing doctor, as are the other doctors in that practice that I’ve seen over the years. The office has gone downhill drastically in recent months. They don’t contact you with test results and if they do it takes WEEKS. I am still trying to get results from a month ago. They don’t refill prescriptions regardless of how many times the pharmacy contacts them. The patient portal doesn’t open so no communication avenue there. Worst is that... read more
