If I could, I would give them 0 stars. I have an HSA with associated bank through my work. And I got this one tax form that none of my other employees got, and it screwed me up when filing for taxes. I called twice to Associated Bank letting them know what my tax lady needs for me to complete my taxes and both people I talked to didn't even take time to look into this form I was telling them about and I was explaining to them what I needed and they just kept like almost belittling me when I was explaining I need an updated f... read more
Just FYI if you open an HSA with this bank- they deduct a fee from your account every month to maintain the account. Even if you have multiple other accounts and a mortgage with them. Even despite the high cost of healthcare already. I was not told about that when I went to sign up and it’s not clearly written when you research the service on their webpage. Good customer service seems to no longer be a thing no matter which branch you go to. It's a shame because our extended family has been a part of this bank for many decades. They used to at least pretend to care about their loyal customers and to not treat you like a number. We're planning to switch & open more accounts with ECU, which has always treated us well.

I love Associated Bank for general banking. Even have my home and stuff through them. Great customer service and I have rarely had any issues. My only complaint is their currency exchange scam (which it pretty much is). They will totally rip off their customers and it isn't right. My best friends bank charges nothing for currency exchange. These guys wanted 1.40 per euro. Current exchange is 1.17. So I have to pay an extra 23 cents per euro to get a different currency for my vacation.
