A few months ago we had a need to find companionship care for my dad who had been diagnosed with dementia. We had very specific requests and were on a tight time schedule. Cathy took the time to understand our specific needs and knew immediately the person she thought would be the best fit for the job. Darren W. arrived two days later and has exceeded our expectations. As an Occupational Therapist, I'm often working with clients who need a little more help at home with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, toileting, etc. in order to be safest as they age in place. Trusting your caregiver provider is so important, and knowing they stand for certain core values can enhance your trust and your experience when working with them. I called them on a Monday morning, they came to my home on Monday afternoon, and started services on Tuesday. The caregiver they sent was professional, capable, and kind. But most importantly, she treated my dad with dignity and respect. And they never missed a visit. I love the fact that they don't have a minimum number of hours/visit. This made it so we could be flexible in scheduling care. I can't say enough good things about them, and I'm so glad we found their services.

Assisting Hands Home Health Care takes the time to listen and identify your needs to give you or your loved one the care he or she needs. It was great to hear of some of the educational material they offer on Alzheimer's and Dementia care.
