This was only place could get my child in for "trauma" therapy. We were seeking a specific kind (stated they offered it on website). The therapist they assigned was brand new there, had no specific trauma therapy training, was exceedingly awkward and made my child uncomfortable. It was even hard for me as an adult to interact without feeling the awkwardness. They said she was the only one and that nobody offered the type of therapy we were seeking. The more they got to know why I needed to be there the more helpful they become. Observations could be quicker and more professionally.
The staff ignored my needs and I reached out for help instead. Seems to be for serious cases only. Hope staff are qualified for them.
To be honest, we haven't even started services yet and it's already been a terrible experience. Three angry/urgent calls with one (two? can’t tell?) rude intake coordinator(s) who have dismissed any requests for e-mail/clarification and turned nasty and hung up when their 2.5 minute time limit was reached. They are DEMANDING that I schedule an appointment for A CHILD, but cannot name the clinician. They have outright REFUSED a parent meeting prior to the appointment; not even a phone call.
