Came in with sick child, was informed it was a common cold, doctor gave sick child a flu shot. Next day high temperature and vomitting. Two days later my child couldn’t keep down food and was visibly weak. Urgent care in Arkansas over Christmas did a chest scan and found pneumonia. Prescribed full course of antibiotics, and inhaler, given a steroid and shot. Felt preventable. Seemed a little crazy to give an already sick kid a flu shot.

I am a physician myself, and I consider myself lucky to be a patient of Dr Connery. She is smart, well trained, experienced, efficient, friendly, and caring. When she smiles, you feel better. Admittedly, you don't go for the smiles, but it's nice to have both. She knows when to refer and when to do it herself. She works hard at trying to work the system so that we get the right answer, quickly, with minimal pain and hassle. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Harris and Aspen Medical Care in Basalt. Dr. Harris takes the time to listen to my son and I always walk away feeling like we are incredibly fortunate to be able to get such good health care for him right outside our door.

I always have a pleasant experience at Aspen Medical Care Basalt when I go every 3 months for my recurring visits. It’s a bummer to see that others have not had the same experience. I would say take those reviews with a grain of salt and experience them for yourself.
